Zdravé budovy – zdraví úžívatelia; použitie konopného betónu v novostavbách a rekonštrukciách
V Británii sa na vytvorenie prirodzených, zdravých a tepelne úsporných novostavieb aj rekonštrukcií domov, čoraz viac používa obnoviteľný prírodný materiál s lepšími ako nulovými emisiami – konopný betón. Konopný betón je modernou inováciou v prírodnom staviteľstve (posledných 30 rokov). Svojou formou a metódou výstavby má dobrý predpoklad na zaradenie sa do hlavného prúdu stavebného priemyslu, pretože podstata a filozofia jeho používania je zviazaná s tradičnými konštrukciami.
Prezentované sú dve prípadové štúdie: novostavba a obnova stavby II. stupňa pamiatkovej ochrany. Prípadové štúdie demonštrujú typické príklady konštrukcie z konopného betónu a otvárajú diskusiu o výhodách tohto materiálu z hľadiska zdravia užívateľov, ako aj budovy.
Súčasťou prezentácie sú aj príklady z literatúry demonštrujúce kľúčové kvalitatívne vlastnosti konopného betónu, analýza ich vplyvu na vnútorné prostredie, detaily a konštrukcie budov z konopného betónu.
Healthy buildings, healthy occupants; using hemp-lime (hempcrete) in new build and restoration
As a natural, renewable, better-than-zero-carbon material, hemp-lime is increasingly used in construction in the UK to create natural, healthy thermally efficient homes, in both new-build and retrofit contexts. Hemp-lime is a recent innovation in natural building (over the last 30 years). While its form and methodology make it a good candidate for adoption by the mainstream construction industry, its detailing and “philosophical approach”, owes much to traditional construction.
Two case studies are presented, a new-build house and the restoration of a grade II listed (historically important) cottage. The case studies are used to demonstrate some typical examples of hemp-lime construction, and the benefits of the material for the health of both the occupants and the building fabric are discussed.
Examples from the literature demonstrating the key performance characteristics of hemp-lime are presented, and the effect of these on the interior environment, and the detailing and construction of hempcrete buildings are explored.
